James W Irish Jr.’s life was immersed in land surveying. Being the son of a Land Surveyor, he started his career very early, and after serving in the Korean War, he gained the knowledge and experience to obtain his license to practice Land Surveying and Engineering.

James W. Irish worked for the town of Cortlandt
as the Town Engineer for three decades.  
He maintained a part time practice as a
Land Surveyor until his passing at the age of 72.
