STEPHEN R. MILLER, L.S.
Vice President for Surveying/Principal
Licensed to practice Land Surveying in New York State since 1988, Stephen has been involved in the field of land surveying since 1983. He joined Badey & Watson in 1983 upon graduation from SUNY Alfred State College, he quickly proved capable of handling even the most difficult surveying challenges. Consequently, he earned the position of Principal with the firm upon licensure.
Steve’s experience includes researching various town, county and state records for survey related information and is knowledgeable regarding the work of many past surveyors in the Hudson Valley. He is experienced in title and boundary surveys, existing condition surveys for building rehabilitation, forensic and confined space applications and precise techniques for connection to NGS published control. He is also often called upon as an expert relating to boundary disputes and surveys for litigation.
As Principal, Stephen is responsible for the development of field survey procedures for the firm and the training of field personnel, as well as the development and administration of field safety procedures.
Stephen is a member and past President of the Westchester-Putnam Association of Professional Land Surveyors, Inc., and is also a member and past director of the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors, Inc. Additionally, he holds membership in the National Society of Professional Surveyors.
Outside of work, Steve sings 4-part acapella harmony with the Poughkeepsie Newyorkers Chorus, providing musical entertainment to veterans, seniors and the greater public.
